We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our growing SaaS company. Reporting directly to the CFO, the Accounting Manager will play a critical role in managing the financial processes and ensuring accurate, timely reporting. This role will primarily focus on the month-end close process, financial reporting, and working closely with the Bookkeeping team that handles Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP). This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team where you can make a significant impact on the company’s financial operations.

What you’ll do

  • Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Collaborate with the Bookkeeping team on AR & AP management, including invoice processing, collections, and payment approvals.
  • Maintain general ledger accounts and prepare adjusting journal entries as needed.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other key financial accounts monthly.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
  • Implement and enforce accounting policies and procedures to ensure internal controls and compliance.
  • Support the annual audit process, working closely with external auditors.
  • Assist in the development of financial reports and dashboards for senior management.
  • Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as requested by the CFO.
  • Contribute to process improvements and system enhancements, including optimizing the use of QuickBooks and HubSpot.

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably with experience in a SaaS or software company.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; experience with QuickBooks is a plus.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial analysis.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • CPA certification is a plus but not required.
  • Must reside and be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship and must not currently reside in California.
