As an Accounting Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including month-end closing, balance sheet reconciliations, financial reporting, and treasury management. You will play a key role in developing and maintaining accounting practices and procedures to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.
Responsibilities
- Supervise accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed; work with direct reports to set goals and objectives and track their progress.
- Train new and existing staff as necessary.
- Review and approve monthly journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assess the monthly financial reporting package for distribution to the Leadership Team and Practice Leaders.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for partners, lenders, and other stakeholders as required.
- Maintain the monthly close calendar, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Manage the consolidated cash forecast and cash balances to ensure adequate funding.
- Maintain and manage the chart of accounts and legal entity hierarchies.
- Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements.
- Oversee the preparation of requests for annual audits and tax return preparation.
- Collaborate with corporate leadership and the management team on financial performance.
- Uphold the confidentiality of financial and patient information in compliance with HIPAA and corporate policies.
- Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a finance-related discipline.
- 6+ years of accounting experience.
- Proven experience in team management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft tools, especially Excel.
- Experience in healthcare accounting (preferred).
- Familiarity with NetSuite (preferred).
