The Accounting Manager will play a crucial role in managing the company’s financial functions, including accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. This role requires a blend of technical accounting expertise and strategic financial analysis skills. The ideal candidate will be adept at the monthly close process, streamlining financial processes, providing accurate financial information, providing insights on technical accounting matters, and supporting strategic decisions to drive business growth. This role will oversee and mentor a Senior Accountant.
What You’ll Do:

- Own core accounting responsibilities including month-end close process, account reconciliation and financial reporting including accounting for compensation-related accounts (bonuses, commissions, equity/ASC 718, etc.).
- Ensure accuracy of revenue recognition reporting and ASC 606 compliance through contract review and approval of subscriptions added to NetSuite.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Oversee the Customer Acquisition Costs (deferred commissions) calculations and ensure amounts are appropriate based the ASC 606
- Assist the VP, of Finance and Corporate Controller with the budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis and financial modeling.
- Coordinate and manage external audits, tax filings, and other financial reporting obligations.
- Oversee sales tax compliance ensuring reporting requirements and filings are complete and accurate.
- Develop, maintain, and ensure policy, procedures and internal controls are updated in accordance to US GAAP.
- Ability to research and reconcile discrepancies and verify documents in accordance with accounting procedures and policies.
- Seek opportunities for process improvements and implement operational accounting efficiencies through improved policies and control enhancements.
- Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to participating in special projects, system improvements or ad hoc analyzes/projects as assigned.
- Manage and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of private industry experience at a SaaS company is highly preferred, and public accounting (ex. Big 4) experience is a plus.
- CPA is required
- Strong understanding of GAAP (ASC 606, ASC 718 for example) and financial reporting requirements.
- Experience with financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Proficient in NetSuite (SuiteBilling) is highly preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong leadership abilities and a team player with excellent communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- A proactive, self-directed approach with the ability to multi-task and a high sense of urgency
Compensation:

- $145,000-160,000 DOE + equity salary packages
