The Accounting Specialist will assist with the management of the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable process, with a keen eye for detail and resolve any issues. The specialist will compute, classify and enter numerical data into financial software to complete financial records, generate and interpret financial records and statements for management.

Specific Job Responsibilities

Cash Management

· Monitoring cash position and needs of the Company on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis

· Work with other team members to reconcile cash accounts during the month end close cycle

· Process and reconcile transactions made within the corporate credit card program

Accounts Payable

· Ownership of the entire Accounts Payable process, end to end

· Establish new vendors in accordance with company policies

· Receive and distribute incoming vendor invoices and related documents for approval

· Collaborate with internal colleagues on proper account coding to confirm classifications

· Maintain all W9s and other documentation to ensure authorized payments

· Prepare and process invoices in NetSuite, accurately and timely

· Prepare ACH, wires, and electronic checks for processing

· Review vendor and service provider agreements

· Reconcile vendor statements and payment records

· Ensure payments and credits are applied correctly

· Correspond with vendors regarding billing and payments

· Analyze vendor accounts and employee expenses

· Look to improve or streamline the payment process

· Manage the use of the AP Automation tool (Centime)

· Assist in the preparation of monthly and ad hoc reports as needed

Accounts Receivables 

· Ownership of Accounts Receivable Collection process

· Ensure accurate cash application to customer accounts

· Work with internal colleagues to help with customer invoicing from time to time

· Resolve issues with delinquent accounts through contacting and working with the customer

· Manage response to customer by email and phone calls

· Reconcile transactions with statements

· Maintain accurate financial record of all receivable transactions, verifications, etc.

· Maintain knowledge of outstanding accounts receivable balances and can speak to the customer payment status

· Manage the use of our AR Collection tool (Centime)

· Assist in the preparation of monthly and ad hoc reports as needed

Requirements

 QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE 

  • Bachelor’s degree – Accounting preferred
  • Good oral and written communication/presentation      skills
  • Strong organization and analytical skills
  • Ability to think critically, creatively and      independently.
  • A team player with the ability to work with minimal      supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Preferred NetSuite Accounting System knowledge
