About the Role

The Accounts Payable (A/P) Specialist is an important part of the Accounting Team responsible for processing payables and employee expense management.

Responsibilities 

• Review and process employee expense reports in Airbase in accordance with Company policies and procedures
• Provide customer service and education as needed to employees regarding eligible expenses and the proper way to submit for reimbursement
• Manage vendor accounts and maintain correct records
• Review and record bills in Bill.com
• Receive, review, and process invoices in Netsuite
• Prepare and process weekly payments
• Manage AP aging in accordance with established company policy
• Actively participate in internal and external A/P audits
• Prepare reconciliations of assigned general ledger accounts
• Have knowledge of approved vendors and policies to avoid paying unauthorized invoices and expenses
• Prepare monthly expense management reports and analysis, which includes ad-hoc, one-time requests
• Employee expense management, to include developing and maintaining internal relationships
• Post expense reports and company card expenses on a weekly basis
• Other relevant projects/duties as needed or assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or Finance preferred
• 3-5 years experience with Accounts Payable and employee expense management; preferably with a web-based tool like Airbase, Emburse, or Bill.com
• At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably using NetSuite
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel
• Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable, strong organization and time management skills
• Excellent mathematical, verbal and written communication skills
• Strong work ethic and ability to cultivate working relationships with vendors, customers and others throughout the organization
