Job Description
AR Manager, in this role, you will manage the Billings and Collections team, related processes and functions, partnering closely with Revenue Operations and Revenue Accounting teams to drive efficiency and scalability. This role will require both the ability to think strategically about long term scalability and growth while being able to execute tactically.
You will partner with key stakeholders to identify changes to business processes and opportunities for automation and process enhancement. You will routinely engage with Finance leadership to inform on key metrics and drive change to improve the billing process and cash conversion.
You will lead a highly motivated team to achieve and surpass billings and collections targets while also solutioning for opportunities to further automate. Key success in this role will be your ability to motivate team members, engage with customers, manage escalations, and serve as a thought partner to cross functional stakeholders while scaling with the business needs.
What you’ll do
- Oversee and manage day-to-day billings/collections operations and manage escalations from internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner while upholding and maintaining the interests of the company
- Implement framework and administer policies to improve the accounts receivable function
- Support monthly accounting close cycles and ensure internal and external reporting deadlines are met; includes real-time analysis and review, as well as supporting close and financial reporting reviews following close
- Own the Bad Debt Analysis, Cash Forecasting, and other AR Driven responsibilities
- Analyze billings/collections data to identify trends and opportunities to inform data-driven decisions and initiatives
- Establish factoring policies and procedures that include research and analyses to make recommendations to the revenue recognition team.
- Implement accounts receivable automation projects to promote efficiencies and reduce manual transactions
- Maintain, track, and report Billings/Collections scoreboard statistics and KPI metrics
- Provide thought leadership to drive end to end accounts receivable initiatives and enhancements
- Represent the interests of Billings/Collections in cross functional projects
- Work directly with clients to understand payment delays and work with customer service teams and clients to remove barriers to payment.
- Monitor and evaluate risk on an ongoing basis, anticipating and mitigating potential risks and calling out red flags to key partners.
- Proactively monitor client receivables and set weekly targets for the team to prioritize their collection efforts to drive DSO improvement.
- Build a team culture that emphasizes customer service, accountability, quality, continuous improvement, and bias to action while focusing on employee retention and development
- Manage off-shore team to drive industry standard success and efficiency
- Perform backup functions for accounts receivable daily responsibilities and tasks
- Support internal and external audits
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners in a Slack-heavy communication ecosystem
- Partner with FP&A to develop and communicate billings/collections targets and forecast cash collections accurately
- Partner with key personnel on new business initiatives to ensure invoicing and receivables management procedures are met within established parameters
Who you are
- Minimum of 7+ years of Accounting/Billings/Collections experience, experience in high-growth enterprise SaaS or technology public companies is a plus
- Knowledge and experience with financial system applications such as Workday, Salesforce, Slack and strong Excel, or PowerPoint skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to understand and articulate existing challenges and obtain buy-in from stakeholders to drive towards a solution

Compensation Range
$100,000 – $133,000 – $166,000
The base salary range for this role at minimum, midpoint and maximum is shown above. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired close to or at the maximum of the salary range. At Sprinklr, base pay depends on multiple individualized factors, including experience, qualifications, job-related knowledge and skills, and geographic location. Base pay also depends on the relative experience, knowledge, skills to our internal peers in the role. Base pay is only one part of our competitive Total Rewards package: the successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Sprinklr’s discretionary bonus plan, commission plan and/or equity plan, depending on role.
