HRW companies is seeking a Senior Accountant. You will be a key member of the team reporting to the CEO and Account Manager. Your responsible for the daily accounting operations and guiding strategic financial decisions. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of the long-term care industry.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all aspects of accounting (AP/AR, billing, general ledger entries, bank reconciliation, credit card expense report reconciliation, cash applications, collections, commission statements)
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting principles and financial regulations
  • Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to management, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and variance analysis reports
  • Review and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to identify areas of improvement and recommend solutions to management
  • Ensure that all financial transactions are accurately recorded, monitored, and reported in a timely manner
  • Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors, tax accountants, and other financial professionals to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Monitor and manage the company’s cash flow, ensuring adequate funds are available to meet operating needs and capital expenditures
  • Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations
  • Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Maintain files and comply with record retention requirements
  • Manage special projects and various business initiatives
  • Additional accounting duties/special projects as necessary

Required Skills Sets:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting
  • CPA preference
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively
  • Possess problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
  • Extremely organized and ability to pay strict attention to detail
  • Minimum of 3-5 years direct experience in accounting field.
  • 1-3 years healthcare industry experience preference
  • Strong proficiency in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, QuickBooks and remote communication tools such as Go To Meeting. Experience with Point Click Care is a plus.
