Senior Accountant

What we’re looking for:

We are looking for a Senior Accountant who is eager to build a career path in a fast-paced innovative technology company making healthcare better for all. Your opportunity

The Senior Accountant reports to the Accounting Manager. Responsibilities included but are not limited to, all aspects of general ledger accounting, treasury, and customer relations for multi-site pharmacy locations.

Your key responsibilities

  • Perform Full Cycle Accounting to include analysis of accounts or accounting transactions. Assist with cash management, AP and AR Accruals, and reconciliations. Prioritize and maintain organization of a high-volume workload for multiple clients.
  • Prepare financial reporting packages timely and accurately in accordance with internal controls and client requirements.
  • Research, analyze and effectively communicate accounting discrepancies and escalate appropriately. Effectively communicate and collaborate with clients and management in a timely manner.
  • Apply financial policies and procedures of the company and bring inconsistencies, problems and recommendations to the attention of management
  • Prepare and review fixed asset ledgers to ensure items are properly capitalized and depreciated based on owner requirements.
  • Comply and assist with internal and external audits by providing appropriate documentation and information as requested.
  • Provide support and guidance by coaching Accountants; lead team meetings, assist with onboarding of new assignments or take a lead role on projects.
  • Performs other related duties as required or requested.

Required knowledge and skills

  • Knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures on manual and automated systems.
  • Knowledge of financial software applications, database, spreadsheets, and word processing required.
  • Proficiency in Excel preferred.
  • Extremely detail oriented and able to multi-task.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.
  • Must be organized, have a strong work ethic, and possess well defined analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to work both independently and as a member of a team.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree with major in Accounting or Finance required. Three to five years of hands-on progressively responsible related experience preferred. Experience with Sage 100 and NetSuite preferred.
