Our Position
The Senior Accountant provides support to the Accounting Department in the areas of, month end close, general ledger management and corporate forecasting and budgeting and special projects as assigned.

Your Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting:
- Oversee Month-end, quarterly, and annual closing processes including footnotes to the financial statements.
- Analyze financial transactions and ensure that they are appropriately recorded in the general ledger

General Ledger Maintenance:
- Conduct general ledger account analysis
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations of general ledger accounts
- Analyze and maintain a complete and accurate sub-ledger for all locations

Audit Support:
- Support external/internal Audits.

Tax Compliance:
- Assist with preparing and filing tax returns including form 990.
- Review of real estate tax assessments and bills

Cross Functional Collaboration:
- Payroll reconciliation and benefit expense to general ledger accounts, PTO Accrual
- Assist the Payroll department in generating Tax reports and year end payroll reports.
- Assist with corporate budgeting and forecasting

Real Estate Portfolio Management:
- Accounting and reporting relating to the Company’s lease portfolio for fixed and variable rent, percentage rent calculations, tenant incentives, landlord reporting, etc.
- Oversee and reviewing lease accounting schedules under ASC 842, maintaining global discount rates and ensuring that they are appropriately applied to lease agreements
- Participate in preparing and maintaining lease accounting policies and procedures and in training relevant finance.
- Manage fixed asset account and depreciation and associated journal entries
- Monitor Construction-In-Progress (CIP) to ensure that open CIP projects are capitalized into the asset accounts on a timely basis to prevent out-of-period depreciation.

Accounts Payable/Receivable Oversight:
- Analyze current finance processes, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Revenue analysis and recognition

Additional Duties:
- Understands and adheres to Recovery Innovations compliance standards as they appear in the Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policies.
- Keeps abreast of all federal and state regulations and laws and all Recovery Innovations policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
- Performs other related duties assigned.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.

Experience: Minimum 5 years of accounting experience.

Skills:
- Strong business acumen and ability to demonstrate solid accounting fundamentals
- Knowledge of GAAP, internal controls and accounting for multiple related entities required.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically with Excel (pivot tables) and Word.
- Knowledge of Sage Intacct a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal and external customers.
- Ability to prioritize tasks to ensure accurate and timely completion.
- Ability to keep sensitive data confidential, display initiative and cope with time pressures.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, and percentages.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion.
- Ability to travel as needed.

- Travel required based on business need.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality (HIPAA guidelines and regulations) and professionalism.

The wage range for this role considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Recovery Innovations, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
Pay Range: $80,000 – $85,000 per year
