We’re searching for a Senior Accountant to join our team. This position is responsible for providing accounting services to a range of clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and delivering accurate financial data. This role focuses on utilizing documentation gathered by clients to perform accounting functions, reporting, client engagement, and assists the supervisor by overseeing and delegating work as needed.

What you will do in this role:

  • Apply appropriate outsourced accounting knowledge on workpapers and assignments to ensure accurate and reliable data for clients’ needs.
  • Utilize accounting software to perform routine client data entry, tasks, and documentation.
  • Connect with team leaders to ensure the appropriate amount of work is distributed among the team and the firm as needed.
  • Train and delegate various types of projects to staff while ensuring standards are being met.
  • Validate the accuracy of client-submitted documentation, identify and resolve discrepancies, and communicate necessary clarification or escalate issues.
  • Execute day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivables, payroll processing, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory accounting and research topics to increase fundamental knowledge.
  • Review journal entries, reconciliations, and other accounting transactions prepared by the ACS team.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
  • Comply with the Firm’s training and continuous education requirements.
  • Meet the Firm’s guidelines for productivity and utilization standards.

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • 2+ years of experience in accounting and/or bookkeeping.
  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Prior experience with QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, Sage MAS 90, MIP, CCH Axcess, BILL, or ADP preferred.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record and ability to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, time management and organization skills, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
