Senior Credit Analyst – Remote

How you’ll add value

The Senior Credit Analyst analyzes and interprets customers’ financial status for risk evaluation and the establishment of appropriate credit limits. The individual in this role partners with sales support, customer service, and accounts receivable to mitigate financial risk to Paycor while finding appropriate credit solutions for customers. The Senior Credit Analyst prepares recommendations and makes credit approval decisions on new accounts and monitors and communicates credit concerns to Paycor leaders as appropriate.

Duties and Cor Responsibilities

  • Manage the credit approval process to ensure adherence with corporate governance and service level agreements.
  • Analyze, and assess the creditworthiness of clients using various third party and internal tools to decide what services may be offered to clients.
  • Work closely with Sales, Service, Billing, and Legal to define and negotiate custom contract requirements necessary to win deals.
  • Determine funding requirements for high credit risk clients to minimize/remove Paycor’s exposure.
  • Ensure accounts have required documentation for prospective and current clients.
  • Communicate and partner with Sales and Implementation when services are denied to determine alternate solutions.
  • Continuously improve credit processes to drive better results and efficiencies.
  • Coordinate with EFT associates to establish wire funding method for clients denied ACH.
  • Collaborate with Treasury associates when a security deposit is required.
  • Ensure all credit documentation (processes & procedures) are up to date and accurate.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for credit related activities.
  • Evaluate quotes for discounting and incentives outside of sales authority.
Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • 5+ years related experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required; Business Administration, Finance, Accounting and/or Economics degree preferred
  • Excellent communication, organizational and negotiation skills, including verbal, written, phone and face to face contact with associates and clients
  • Computer skills including experience with MS Office Suite; Intermediate excel skills required
  • Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment and decision making with a minimal amount of direct supervision
  • Must be accessible outside of normal business hours for occasional, urgent issues that arise
  • Strong critical thinker with the vision to work both tactically and strategically
  • Proven analytical thinking with a natural tendency to use data in decision-making and prioritization

We also offer competitive compensation determined by each individual’s relevant experience, skills, and education. In addition to base pay, $64,680 – $110,424. Paycor Associates are eligible for either a performance-based annual bonus or commission, depending on the position.
