Position: Staff Accountant
We are seeking an ambitious, self-starting, and versatile Staff Accountant to join our rapidly growing telehealth startup’s finance department. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in accounting and finance, with the ability to take initiative and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with our COO and play a key role in driving financial strategy and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
– Financial Reporting & Analysis:
– Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
– Assist in developing and maintaining financial models, including long-term value (LTV) cash flow projections and forecasts.
– Accounts Payable (A/P) Management:
– Oversee the A/P process, ensuring timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices.
– Work with other departments to resolve any discrepancies and ensure adherence to financial controls.
– Financial Control & Tax Analysis:
– Lead tax planning and compliance efforts, ensuring timely filing and minimizing tax liabilities.
– Implement and manage internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
– Budgeting & Financial Projections:
– Collaborate with department heads to develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts.
– Conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights to improve financial performance.
– Cash Flow Management:
– Monitor and optimize the company’s cash flow, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maintaining liquidity.
– Conduct regular cash flow analyses to anticipate financial needs and mitigate potential risks.
– Business Intelligence:
– Develop and maintain financial dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) to provide actionable insights to leadership.
– Support strategic decision-making by providing detailed financial and operational analyses.
– Managerial Accounting:
– Provide cost analysis and margin optimization to improve profitability.
– Assist in decision-making processes by preparing financial reports and analysis for operational and strategic planning.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
– 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably within e-commerce or fast-growth industries.
– Expertise in LTV cash flow modeling, financial projections, and tax analysis.
– Proven experience in leading a variety of accounting and finance functions, including accounts payable, financial control, and managerial accounting.
– Proficient in financial analysis tools and accounting software; experience with business intelligence platforms is a plus.
– Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and present financial data to senior management.
Salary
$75,000 – $110,000 per year
